January 2008 Artist Thomas Andrew Gives Away Paintings In late October, 2007, I sent this email to friends and family:
		Greetings!    Friends - I need your help. If you happen to know someone who is battling depression, dealing with extreme grief, or experiencing a major hardship, please contact me via email. I am giving away 10 angel paintings to people (or families) who have experienced a major hardship or tragedy in 2007. It's been a tough year for so many, and with the holidays just around the corner, Hope is needed now more than ever. As many of you know, my angel paintings are meant to bring hope and comfort to those in need. I love creating this spiritual artwork, and I feel blessed that it continues to sell in galleries and retail stores. Again, if you know someone who is battling depression, dealing with extreme grief, or experiencing a major hardship, please contact me via email. For someone to be considered, I need to know their full name, a complete mailing address, and information about what they are going through. Do not send me charitable organizations looking for donations. I am looking for an individual or family. Also, please include your name and contact information. All of the information I collect will be kept confidential and will not be shared with anyone. I am collecting recipient suggestions/information until December 1, 2007. I will then choose 9 (one has already been sent) and send each an angel painting. 	Update: I received about 70 nominations. Ten received a painting. The remaining nominees received a framed print or a small study. All of the artwork was mailed before Christmas, 2007.
